Unterwegs in Blumau gewesen und dabei diese alte Fabrik zu entdecken.
Ich weiß nur das dort mal eine ÖBB Demontage Halle für Züge stand, die aber bei einem Brand glaube Ich vernichtet wurde. Eine ehemalige Munitionsfabrik steht dort auch.
Falls wieder mal jemand nähe Infos weiß oder kennt darf er Sie mir gerne sagen :)

Das sind Gebäudereste des ehemaligen "Böhlerwerkes Sollenau".

Nach dem WKII wurden dort von der Schrottfirma Hebenstreit Dampflokomotiven der ÖBB verschrottet. Zuletzt waren auf den Gleisanlagen alte Personenwagen abgestellt, die wegen Asbestisolierungen ausgeschieden bzw. ebenfalls verschrottet wurden. Auf einem Teil des Geländes war dann das Metall-Umschmelzwerk "Almeta", wo es Umweltprobleme mit Alu-Schlacke gab... Wie und ob das Gelände bzw. die Restobjekte aktuell genutzt werden, kann ich nicht sagen.

I dont really know if any of you guys are still on here but Hi!

I am the grandson of the former owner known as Seef eisikovic. Ive been told many stories of the old schmelzfabrik, If there are any questions that i can asnwer id love to help! (Ive been trying to get better photos so thank you for getting them!)

Seev Eisikovic, wurde 1924 in Velki Bockov (damals Tschechoslowakei, heute Ukraine) geboren.

Als Siebzehnjähriger kam Seef Eisikovic 1941 aus seiner Heimatstadt nach Budapest, um eine Lehre anzutreten.
Er war dort auch im jüdischen Widerstand tätig und war Meisterfälscher von Dokumenten, überlebte zwei Festnahmen und den zweiten Weltkrieg.
Nachher betrieb er Schmuggel zwischen der Tschechoslowakei und Ungarn und geht später nach Israel.
1948 kommt er nach Wien und ist unternehmerisch tätig.
1957 wird seine Tochter Tamara geboren (jetzt: Tamara Guttmann).
2008 stirbt Seev Eisikovic in Wien.

Anscheinend ist die Familie seit längerer Zeit im Metallgeschäft und auch zuletzt im Immobilienbereich tätig. Seine Tochter ist in vielen Firmen unternehmerisch tätig.

Seef Eisikovic came to Budapest from his hometown in 1941 at the age of 17 years to work.
He was also active in the Jewish resistance there and was a master forger of documents, survived two arrests and the Second World War.
Afterwards he smuggled between Czechoslovakia and Hungary and later went to Israel. In 1948 he came to Vienna and worked as an entrepreneur.
In 1957 his daughter Tamara was born (now: Tamara Guttmann).

Seev Eisikovic died in Vienna in 2008. The family has been in the metal business for a long time and also recently in the real estate sector. His daughter holds positions in several companies.

Actually i know about the shrott, from what i remember the austrian goverment wanted to fine us or punish us for the shrott we left saying it was nuclear chemicals from the USSR, after we caught them in a lie (they falsified chemical ratings and made fake articles about the company) Ive seen that document before that Struwwelpeter has sent. I will look trough all the stories and try to see if any other family can help me.

Hi its been a while!

Does anyone know the newspaper article from the 70s or the 80s talking about the supposed Radioactive chemicals in almeta sollenau. Im trying to make an entire archive of the different information of almeta sollenau.

Thank you to struwwelpeter specifically as your info has guided me to an enitre ballad of family history.
